They are available for advice, minor ailments, dressings, removal of stitches, ear syringing, immunisations, cervical smears, well person checks and various tests that your doctor may arrange. They also hold regular minor illness clinics. Appointments can be made at the reception desk or by telephoning 0844 477 2552 (press option 2, then option 2 again).
Health Care Assistant
Linda Cater
Our HCA assists the practice nurses with, for example, blood sampling and blood pressure checks.
District Nurses
There is a district nursing team attached to the practice who are primarily available to give home nursing care to patients who cannot attend the surgery. They can be contacted by telephoning 01236 820032.
Community Midwives
The midwives run antenatal clinics at the health centre on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. If you discover that you are pregnant, you should make an appointment initially with your GP and then an appointment for the
antenatal clinic by phoning 01236 820032.
Health Visitors
Health visitors have an office in the health centre. They can give advice on health care, especially for small children, the elderly and disabled. Health visitors can be contacted on 01236 820031.
Students
The practice is an undergraduate teaching practice and, from time to time, medical students may be in attendance with the doctor. If this is unacceptable to the patient, a request to consult the doctor alone will be
accepted without question.
